Core Functionality

DGOne Localization is a professional UE editor plugin that embeds AI translation into Unreal Engine’s native localization pipeline. It automates the full workflow of source string collection, AI translation, result review, archive saving and .locres compilation entirely within the editor, replacing the inefficient export-wait-import loop with a streamlined one-click solution.

Four Optional AI Providers

Unlike single-AI locked tools, DGOne supports flexible switching between four mainstream AI services per project, with all API keys securely stored in Project Settings for unified management:

OpenAI-Compatible – Fully adapts to GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, Azure OpenAI and all endpoints with /chat/completions format.

Claude (Anthropic) – Native Messages API integration with configurable version headers and single-request token limits, delivering consistent terminology translation via its long context capability.

Deepseek – Dedicated endpoint, API key and model configuration, enabling high-quality, cost-effective large-scale localization.

Ollama (Local Models) – Supports local operation of Llama 3, Qwen 2.5, Mistral and other compatible models. No API key required, zero data leakage, ideal for confidential IP and privacy-sensitive studio projects.

Translation Memory: Translate Once, Reuse Permanently

The built-in local Translation Memory (TM) stores all translated strings in .tm.json files synced with localization archives. It prioritizes cached translations for unchanged source content in subsequent runs, requiring no repeated API calls. Key advantages include:

• Token saving: Only new or modified strings are sent to AI models

• Time efficiency: Cached results load instantly without network round-trips

• Team compatibility: Version-control friendly .tm.json files support studio-wide sharing

• Full transparency: Real-time CacheHit status display on the dashboard and logs

TM caching can be toggled freely in Project Settings, with all cached and API-generated translations clearly distinguished in runtime logs.

Stale Translation Detection

Source text updates often lead to outdated, invalid translations. DGOne automatically compares current source strings with archived historical records, marking modified entries as Stale. It provides dedicated Stale filtering for one-click overview, includes stale content in default translation updates, and separates Stale status from Untranslated status for full workflow visibility.

Customizable Editor Dashboard for Daily Workflows

The dockable editor dashboard displays all translatable strings in a searchable, filterable and editable table, supporting multi-dimensional filtering (All/Translated/Untranslated/Suspicious/Stale/Marked for Deletion) and simultaneous search across namespaces, keys and content. Developers can edit translations inline, translate selected rows in batches, and trace asset sources via Key Origin positioning. The real-time log panel records detailed API call data including timestamps, cache hits, retries and errors.

All-In-One Localization Target Management

Abandon cumbersome native UE multi-window operations. DGOne integrates full target management in its dashboard: create new targets with custom names and source languages (auto-configuring DefaultEditor.ini and engine GameTargetSet), add destination languages via one-click dropdown selection, and sync engine language updates instantly with the refresh button.

Inline AI Configuration Panel

The collapsible built-in AI settings panel allows real-time modification of endpoints, API keys, model parameters, temperature and timeout without accessing Project Settings, keeping the interface clean while enabling quick parameter adjustment.

Built-In Quality Control Mechanisms

To eliminate AI translation errors, the plugin automatically flags abnormal entries and marks them as Suspicious, including empty outputs, unchanged source-copy translations, AI refusal responses, and placeholder mismatches. The placeholder verification feature intelligently identifies and checks {0}, %s and other format markers to ensure translation specification consistency, supporting bulk review, editing, deletion and re-translation of problematic content.

CSV Terminology Glossary Enforcement

Ensure unified translation of core game content (characters, items, abilities, etc.). Import a custom CSV glossary (containing terms and multi-language translations), and the plugin will automatically inject standard terminology into AI system prompts, achieving consistent global translation across the entire project.

Stable Batch Translation & Resilience

Support up to 32 configurable concurrent API requests for fast bulk translation, adaptable to different API rate limits. Equipped with exponential backoff automatic retry (customizable retry times 0–10, base and maximum delay) to handle 429/5xx server errors. Real-time task cancellation is available during all translation runs.

Batch Operation Undo & Precise Deletion

All batch actions (CSV import/export, batch deletion, language clearing) generate snapshot backups for one-click undo rollback. Four targeted deletion modes cover all cleanup scenarios: Delete Selected, Delete Visible, Delete Suspicious/Failed, and Confirmable Clear Language. Deleted entries are marked Pending Deletion and retained until the next save, providing a safe review window.

One-Click Full Project Automation

The Auto Pipeline automates the full process of text collection, translation, saving and compilation for a single language. Auto Pipeline All extends this capability to batch process all non-native languages in one go, enabling fully localized and compiled projects with zero manual operation.

CSV Import & Export for Hybrid Workflows

Supports one-click CSV export of all strings for manual human polishing and one-click import of revised translations. Automatic matching via namespace and key eliminates manual sorting and reformatting, perfectly adapting to AI-first + human-final localization workflows.

Full Compatibility with Native UE Pipeline

DGOne never bypasses Unreal Engine’s official localization system. It fully adapts to native engine rules: reading official target configurations, invoking native GatherText commandlets, recognizing standard .manifest/.archive files, and compiling .locres via official pipelines. All project files remain standard and compatible with other UE localization tools.
