Aubrieta, commonly known as purple rock cress, is a low-growing perennial from the Brassicaceae family. Native to southern Europe, it forms dense mats of small, hairy leaves and erupts in spring with a vibrant carpet of purple, pink, or blue four-petaled flowers.
