Design developed by the Compliant Mechanisms Research Group (CMR) from Brigham Young University (BYU). The original STEP file is freely available from Thingiverse.

To create this animated model in Sketchfab, I did the following:

1. In SolidWorks CAD software (v. 2012):

   • Import > STEP file
   • Finite Element Analysis: Deformation modeled with SolidWorks Simulation.
   • File export as wrl files (.wrl): Underformed and deformed models.

2. In Blender (v. 2.80):

   • Import > X3D Extensible 3D (.x3d/.wrl)
   • Animation with Shape Keys
