DEMO | DOCUMENTATION | SUPPORT

Give your character a camera you can tune to the movement and spaces in your game. Third Person Action Camera replaces the Spring Arm and Camera pair with one component, with setup and customization in Blueprints.

SMOOTH FOLLOW AND FRAMING

  • Tune follow-point movement, camera position and orbit rotation independently, including separate horizontal and vertical follow response.

  • Adjust distance, shoulder offset and follow height. Add automatic follow, pitch-based framing, and speed-driven distance and field-of-view changes.

  • Keep automated camera turns separate from gameplay aim by default.

COLLISION AND WALL RECOVERY

  • Anticipate obstruction and turn around nearby corners through collision-checked positions when a usable side route exists.

  • Fall back to camera pull-in in confined spaces, with adjustable outward recovery after the view clears.

FOCUS YOUR OWN TARGETS

  • Pass an actor to a Blueprint focus node and blend toward framing the player and target. Adjust composition, distance and FOV limits.

  • Release focus back to free orbit. Sideways wall recovery stays suspended during focus and its release blend; collision remains active.

INCLUDED

  • One runtime camera component with complete C++ source and Blueprint controls.

  • Editable example Character, PlayerController and GameMode Blueprints.

  • One indoor example map with an animated character, scene audio, and mouse/keyboard, gamepad and touch controls.

QUICK SETUP

Add Third Person Camera to your locally controlled Character or Pawn, deactivate its old camera, and keep your existing controller look input. Change the component's Details settings, save, and play. The GitHub guide covers integration into your own game.

SCOPE

Focus is a framing API, not a combat targeting system. Your game supplies target selection and input mappings. Collision may require immediate camera movement, and tight geometry or framing limits can prevent both subjects from fitting. Network replication, validated split-screen support and object transparency are not included.
