Ashenex Steam Publisher turns shipping to Steam into a single button inside the Unreal editor. Fill in your AppID and depot IDs once, save them as a named preset, and the plugin handles the cook, package, steamcmd upload, and branch promotion for you.
Highlights
One-click publish from the Unreal toolbar. Generates app_build.vdf and per-depot .vdf files from values you set in the editor, drives the cook, stage, and package phases through Unreal's standard packaging pipeline, then uploads via steamcmd.
Unlimited build presets. Keep separate configs for Shipping, Internal QA, Public Beta. Each preset stores its own credentials and depots.
Pre-Flight Summary before every launch. Reviews every required field, paints missing values, and offers a hard-gate that blocks publish on validation errors.
Live progress window. Phase pips, animated progress bar, scrolling steamcmd log with credentials redacted, and a Cancel button. Close it mid-build, the pipeline keeps running.
Build History strip. The last ten publish outcomes as colored squares. Click for a per-run summary covering AppID, depots, branch, duration, and final status.
Multi-platform depots. Tag each depot Windows, Mac, or Linux. Per-depot install scripts supported.
SetLive branch automation. Optionally promote a successful build to a Steam branch you've defined. default is rejected at the editor layer to prevent accidents.
