How It Works

Loading screens often use particle effects, but this package consists only of loopable videos. This approach has both advantages and disadvantages compared to others, and its effectiveness depends on the resource usage of your game.

The advantage is that it can reduce the load on the GPU, allowing other loading operations to run in the background. However, since you're playing a video file, it means that loading screens will occupy space in VRAM.

To prevent high resource usage, the videos have been limited to a maximum of 10 seconds and are set to loop. This means a loading screen will take up no more VRAM than a single PBR material. This also helps maintain a high bitrate for the videos.

If you'd like to reduce VRAM usage even further, you can use the lower-resolution versions included in the package or compress the videos within game engine.
