Building Information
The Ventura City Hall is a 1912 neo-classical building with Beaux Arts and Roman Doric architectural elements, featuring a distinctive terra cotta facade with decorative scrolls, floral designs, and whimsical faces of Franciscan padres that honour the city's founding history. The interior boasts stained glass domes, marble lobbies, mahogany paneling, and a sweeping staircase, while arched windows and neo-classic columns define its exterior character. Originally built as the Ventura County Courthouse, it has served as the city hall since 1974.
