Dynamic Crosshair Interaction is a painfully easy system that allows the player to have a dynamic crosshair that changes depending on the object. All done through tags, which eat 0 frames and processing power. Comes with sample BP's to get you a head start on the event interactions, doors, keys, etc.
Hovering a door will display text that shows the player the room they will enter once they interact with it. These can be changed once again through tags, and are setup with the examples BP's once again to show you how easy it is.
Eye crosshair - Can speak and inspect an object
Hand crosshair - Interact with the object that plays an event
Null crosshair - Player can inspect the object, but can be shown as Null for gameplay reasons
Open door crosshair - A door is unlocked, and the player can walk through
Key crosshair - The door is locked, but the player has a key to unlock it
Locked crosshair - Door is locked and needs a key to unlock
You add the Dynamic Crosshair Interaction Component to your character BP, and you're already ready for gameplay. Just edit the Global Interaction Data Table to edit and add objects the player can inspect.
