Having great success with my previous archery pack, I decided to revisit the theme and make it more focused and detailed. This time, it is dedicated to bow and arrow sounds only, with no crossbows, although many of the sounds can work for crossbows as well.
While there is always room for more, this pack covers the most important bow and arrow actions. It starts with Bow Switch sounds for changing your active weapon, followed by a wide range of inventory sounds that can be used for actions such as picking up, equipping, unequipping, moving items between slots, crafting, looting, and similar gameplay interactions. It also includes fire arrow sounds with both shooting and impact variations.
Every sound was professionally recorded to capture a natural and organic feel. You'll hear subtle wood creaks and many small details that add to the realism. Recording the raw source material for this pack was one of the most enjoyable sessions I've had, and I'll soon release a PDF that gives a behind-the-scenes look at part of the sound design process.
