
Description
The Hornet unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a strike UAV of the type
classed as a loitering munition with autonomous navigation
and elements of artificial intelligence.
The Hornet's key feature is a combination of satellite navigation with
inertial-optical odometry, an advanced optoelectronic system
for target acquisition and acquisition based on AI, and the use of non-standard
encrypted data transmission frequencies. As a result, the UAV has learned to fly autonomously along a route, minimizing the need for a constant communication channel
with the operator and significantly reducing the effectiveness of standard electronic warfare systems and
radio detectors.
