Descripción
The V-BAT’s single-engine ducted fan enables it to take off and land vertically in confined spaces and to shift from hover to horizontal flight. Its autonomy software, including drone AI, allows it to operate in GPS- and communications-denied environments. Its compact design and ability to hover make it suitable for shipboard operations and confined land areas. the V-BAT had achieved drone-swarming capabilities, using AI to enable multi-vehicle coordination and distributed autonomous operations working with onboard systems to detect and target military vehicles and personnel. The BAT is unarmed in its standard configuration and acts as a sensor node, and the L-BAT variant is armed with a 15kg warhead and can be used as a loiter munition with multple BAT working together to target and attack at once if any drone is destroyed another can assume command and issue attack orders to other L-BAT which can continue to attack until all drones are used.
