Water your player can actually touch.

YouTube Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezVScYqfxaY

Drop a crate, coin, duck or any other object into the water and the surface reacts exactly where it lands. The water opens up, the ripple spreads along the surface, foam moves with the wave, and the object settles and bobs using Unity's own Buoyancy Effector 2D. Nothing is just a canned animation.

This is made for side view games. The water fills the sprite up to a Level line, while everything above it stays transparent. Under the waterline, the body gets a simple posterized look with flat cartoon color bands.

Just add the component to a square sprite and you have a pool. Stretch it into a lake, canal or narrow well and the waves, foam, bubbles and dashes keep the same size. Everything is measured in world units instead of the sprite's UVs.

There are 16 looks available from one dropdown, divided into five groups:

Surface for calm water and flowing water.

Waves for sine waves, voronoi patterns, breaking crests and layered ocean waves.

Bodies for tiled pools, waterlines and depth effects.

Foam for shorelines and water edges.

Ripples for object interaction and splash droplets.

Each mode comes with its own tuned settings. When you switch modes, its settings are loaded automatically, and you can use Undo if you want to go back.

Everything can be customized from the Inspector or controlled through code. You can adjust wave height and speed, the number of waves, water level, depth darkness, foam thickness, four colors including an HDR highlight, opacity, and ripple strength.

The custom Inspector also dims settings that are not used by the current mode, so you can quickly see which options actually matter.

It works with URP and the 2D Renderer. You can switch between Unlit and Lit 2D directly from the dropdown.

The shader only samples from its own sprite. There is no grab pass, no scene texture and no camera setup needed.

Per sprite settings are handled through MaterialPropertyBlock, so you can have hundreds of puddles with different looks while still using the same material.

The package includes three demo scenes:

A grid showing all 16 modes with Unlit.

The same grid using the Lit 2D shader.

An interaction scene where you can click to drop a duck into the water and see the ripple and buoyancy effects.

An offline manual with a full script reference is also included.
