Compact Minimap System provides a highly optimized solution for generating and displaying minimaps in Unreal Engine. It combines a powerful Editor Utility Widget for fast map capturing with a highly customizable blueprint system for your in-game logic.
Generate orthographic map textures directly in the editor using the included Editor Utility Widget. Featuring a real-time preview and automated folder organization, the tool allows you to quickly capture your level and optionally export the texture for custom edits (like drawing transparent paths in external software).
The in-game logic is built with performance in mind and is highly flexible: choose between Square or Circle shapes, easily switch between Camera or Pawn rotation, and fully customize zoom levels, colors, and border styles.
Track enemies, objectives, or items using the plug-and-play Point of Interest (POI) Component, which features edge-clamping to keep off-map targets visible on the minimap border. Complete with a pre-configured HUD widget, this system is ready for immediate implementation while remaining clean enough for your own custom UI integration.
