Overview


The Druid Maze Builder Kit is a versatile solution for level designers and environment artists who need flexible, high-quality assets to create a beautiful hedge maze. This pack bridges traditional modular asset workflows with procedural control.

It provides a production-ready library of nanite-ready static meshes for Unreal Engine 5.5 complete with master materials that allow for direct color customization of the meshes. Additionally, the original Blender source file will be included, with the asset browser and integrated Geometry Nodes modifier that allows you to tweak foliage density, randomized scattering, and color profiles directly within Blender before exporting custom variations to your engine of choice.

What’s Inside the Pack

1. Unreal Engine 5.5+ Asset Library

  • 30 Modular Shapes (Available in High & Low variants): Includes straight walls, S-curves, T-junctions, X-junctions, diagonal/oblique sections, standard curves, alcoves/tunnels, pillars, archways, and unique custom structural shapes.

  • 10 Variations per Shape: A total of 300 pre-baked Static Meshes to ensure natural visual diversity and avoid repeating patterns.

  • Customizable Materials: The 300 static meshes can be further customized directly inside Unreal Engine using pre-configured material parameters to tweak colors and create infinite color variations.

  • Collisions Pre-Configured: Custom, optimized collision bounds set up for smooth third-person and first-person gameplay.

  • Asset Showcase Map: A clean, organized level displaying all 300 individual meshes side by side.

  • Assembled Demo Level: A compact 65x65m landscape featuring a fully assembled maze layout, allowing you to instantly test the kit's versatility, scale, and visual potential in a real environment.

2. Procedural Blender Tool (Geometry Nodes)

The core source file (.blend) features a non-destructive Geometry Nodes setup. You can adjust the following parameters directly from the Modifier Tab:

  • 3 Independent Collection Slots: Pre-configured for scattering foliage, flowers, and roots, but fully adaptable to any custom asset collection you wish to scatter across the hedge surface.

  • Color Customization: Tweak hue, saturation, and brightness variations across individual mesh islands.

  • Randomized Transforms: Control random rotation and scaling factors to easily break up visual repetition.

3. Procedural generated Textures made through Substance Painter

  • Standard PBR Material workflow.

  • Resolutions included: 1K, 2K, and 4K (Base Color, Normal, Roughness, Ambient Occlusion, and Mask maps).

  • The ground/landscape texture shown in the promotional screenshots is for demonstration and presentation purposes only; it is not included in the source asset files.

  • Asset Origin: This kit expands upon the hedge concepts found in our master pack "The Druid Throne". The base meshes have not been redesigned, but the collection has been significantly upgraded and expanded with 5 brand-new modular shapes, meticulously refined variations, optimized collision bounds, and the custom Blender Geometry Nodes setup available for your creative creations!

  • AI Transparency Notice: In compliance with platform guidelines, this pack is marked as "Generated with AI". AI tools were used exclusively to generate the base mesh textures and the background foliage textures. All 3D models, layout assemblies, Geometry Nodes systems, and secondary asset textures (flowers & roots) were created entirely by hand.

  • ⚠️ Mandatory Technical Notice (FAB Review Compliance)

    Per request of the FAB Technical Review Team, the following list of default Epic Games native plugins must be explicitly cited on this preview page, as they are part of the standard engine initialization loop for blank projects in Unreal Engine 5.5:

None of these plugins are used or required by the static meshes, textures, or materials included in this kit.
