Since the church was society's main record keeper, these parchments with red wax seals bring a bit of scholarly history to your surroundings. Before the printing press, monks wrote and sealed everything from official orders from the Pope and legal documents to the well-known letters granting indulgences. These separate sheets of paper show the vast knowledge and power that came from monastery writing rooms, called scriptoriums. Or you can use it as some paper just scattered about.
This detailed prop works best as a realistic touch, whether placed on an abbot's cluttered desk, spread across the floor of a ransacked monastery library, in a secret archive, or in the hands of a questionable church inquisitor.
Designed to tell a story. Rather than a basic real-world scan, I take artistic liberties with the design, creating specific details so the model stands out and adds distinct character to your environment.
