Airborne Deployment System

Airborne Deployment System is a Blueprint-based, multiplayer-ready airborne troop deployment package for Unreal Engine designed around configurable AI paratrooper insertion and supporting battlefield gameplay systems.

At its core, the system allows an aircraft to travel through the level and automatically begin troop deployment when it enters an invisible deployment trigger. A configurable number of AI paratroopers are spawned, descend beneath parachutes, land, and transition into their normal ground combat behavior.

The included C-130-style aircraft demonstrates the complete deployment workflow using spline-based movement, configurable deployment timing, troop classes, spawn counts, and other exposed settings.

Core Airborne Features

  • Trigger-based airborne deployment

  • C-130-style spline aircraft movement

  • Configurable AI troop count

  • Adjustable delay between deployed troops

  • Configurable infantry/paratrooper class

  • Parachute descent system

  • Adjustable parachute gravity and fall behavior

  • Transition from parachute descent to normal ground AI

  • Team support

  • Weapon and equipment configuration

  • Multiplayer replication support

  • Optional player-spawn workflow at the airborne deployment point

  • Blueprint-based implementation

The deployment trigger is invisible during gameplay. This is not a radar system, aircraft detection interface, smoke call-in system, or LZ-marking system.

Included Supporting Gameplay Systems

The package also includes several additional systems used to build out the supplied combat scenario:

  • Simple capture objective system

  • Configurable enemy spawner

  • Artillery destruction system

  • Working artillery visual setup

  • C4 demolition target setup

  • Explosive 155 mm ammunition actor

  • Claymore system

  • Frag grenade system

  • Smoke grenade system

  • Water-entry detection and water walking/footstep behavior

  • Environmental ambience areas that activate and deactivate based on character presence

  • Configured sound attenuation assets

  • Multiplayer weapon and combat support used by the demonstration characters

These systems are included with the product and can also serve as starting points for developers who want to expand the supplied battlefield scenario.

Included Equipment & Demonstration Assets

The package includes demonstration assets such as:

  • C-130-style transport aircraft

  • Parachute

  • Helmet

  • Tactical vest

  • Backpack

  • Radio pack

  • Weapons and supporting combat assets

  • Artillery pieces and demolition targets

  • Buildings and objective structures

  • Vegetation and environmental content

  • Demo battlefield environment

Important Demo Asset Notice

The supplied meshes and environment assets are primarily included to demonstrate the Blueprint systems in a complete playable scenario.

For a finished commercial game, developers are encouraged to replace the demonstration meshes, characters, aircraft, weapons, structures, vegetation, and other visual assets with models appropriate for their own project's artistic direction.

The demonstration environment is intentionally built around a simple green-versus-tan visual theme. This is not intended to represent finished faction artwork. The contrasting presentation makes the two sides easy to identify while testing and helps developers clearly see troop deployment, team behavior, combat interactions, capture logic, destruction, and other systems operating together.

The goal is to provide a working gameplay framework that is easy to understand before developers substitute their own production assets.

Optional Recommended Parachuting Assets

The Airborne Deployment System does not require either of the following products, and they are not included with this purchase. However, developers looking to expand the visual quality or scope of their airborne gameplay may find them useful.

MC Skydive Animation Pack — MoCap Central

This optional animation package contains more than 50 motion-captured skydiving and wingsuit performances, including jump, freefall, parachute-flight, and landing animations. It is authored around the standard UE5 Mannequin rig and also includes demonstration parachute content.

This could be a useful addition for developers who want more advanced airborne animations than those demonstrated by the Airborne Deployment System.

Skydive and Parachute Kit — Center of Nothing

This optional package provides parachuting animations along with blendspaces, an Animation Blueprint, backpack and parachute meshes, materials, textures, and example Blueprints.

It may be useful for developers who want additional parachute art or animation assets when replacing or expanding the demonstration content included with this product.

These products are separate Fab purchases and are not required for the Airborne Deployment System to function.

Designed to Be Expanded

The included demonstration provides a working example of how airborne deployment can be combined with AI combat, objectives, artillery, explosives, environmental interaction, equipment, multiplayer gameplay, and supporting battlefield systems.

Developers can replace the supplied:

  • Aircraft

  • Paratrooper character

  • Weapons

  • Parachute

  • Equipment

  • Team visuals

  • Buildings

  • Artillery

  • Environment

  • Sounds

while retaining and adapting the underlying Blueprint gameplay logic.

What This Product Does Not Claim to Include

To keep the product description accurate, the Airborne Deployment System does not advertise:

  • Radar functionality

  • Aircraft detection UI

  • Smoke-based deployment call-ins

  • LZ marking

  • LZ regroup behavior

  • Helicopter insertion

  • HALO/HAHO systems

  • Dedicated free-fall gameplay

  • Player-controlled parachuting as a core feature

  • Component-based drag-and-drop integration

The core airborne workflow is:

Aircraft enters deployment trigger → troops deploy → parachutes descend → troops land → AI transitions to ground gameplay.

Built for

Military shooters, tactical games, large-scale battlefield games, strategy/FPS hybrids, reinforcement systems, airborne assault missions, multiplayer combat scenarios, and developers looking for a Blueprint foundation they can customize around their own assets.
