Trivia: The Queensland Rail EMU is a class of Electric Multiple Unit built by Walkers Limited in Maryborough for the Queensland Rail City network, built from 1979 to 1986. These trains were the first electric trains to operate on the network, replacing the older diesel-hauled suburban fleet, and were also the first suburban trains to feature air conditioning. The units are now replaced by the newer NGR fleet with the last EMU commencing revenue service in 2025.
