This plaque comes from the Parthenon’s frieze, from 447-432 BC.
It illustrates one of the main events during the celebreation of the Great Panatheans, wich happened every four years in Athenes : Two priests and six Ergastines, young women in charge of sewing the pelos offered to Athena, walk in a procession towards the gods assembly.
