It has been a really long time since I last uploaded a 3D modeling project. It took me a whopping 15 days to make this because it was much more complex than I expected. This is the 'ARA Veinticinco de Mayo', an aircraft carrier owned by Argentina back when it reigned as a major power in South America! This warship originally commissioned on January 7, 1945, as the 'Venerable', the fourth ship of the Colossus-class aircraft carriers belonging to the British Royal Navy. After World War II, in April 1947, the Royal Netherlands Navy purchased her, and she served under the name 'Karel Doorman' in 1948. Then, the Argentine Navy bought her in 1969 and renamed her Veinticinco de Mayo. She later saw brief service in the Falklands War, but due to frequent breakdowns and the sinking of the cruiser ARA General Belgrano by the British Royal Navy's nuclear submarine HMS Conqueror, she never left port until the end of the war. She was decommissioned in 1990 and scrapped in Alang, India, in 1999.

As mentioned above, the production took a total of 15 days. I started on May 9th and finished on May 23rd. Actually, I planned to finish it on Wednesday, May 20th, but I only finished the modeling work on that day and did texture work for 3 additional days, so 3 days were added to the scheduled date. Even with my skills improved to this level, the reason it took quite a while is because it was a large ship making after a long time, and although it was a Cold War-era warship, its basis was a complex-looking World War II-era warship. Still, it was fun to build a massive ship with high quality after a long time, although there were some setbacks along the way. Furthermore, I feel it is quite a success in that the polygon count is only about 112,000 despite being such a huge ship.

Later I will sell it for around $130 including various carrier-based aircraft!
