Motion captured animations of Pancak Silat, an Indonesian Martial Arts. High Definition recordings of professionals performing offensive and defensive moves. 32 unique animations, 10 of which are solo, the other 22 are performed together by two.
Pencak Silat is a traditional martial art from Southeast Asia, known for its fluid movements, powerful strikes, and expressive forms. It combines self-defense techniques with rhythmic, dance-like motion, often rooted in cultural and spiritual traditions.
The data is rigged to the Unreal Engine default Manny and Quin character models, but these 3D models do not perfectly match our actors. In the demo, some gaps may sometimes appear between the two characters. However, this does not impact the overall quality of the animations, but it might need work to make it match with your the proportions of your characters.
The use of these animations is applicable to any situation you can imagine, like games, video renders, VR experience etc.
