In 2005, Putin called the collapse of the Soviet Union “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.”
In 2014, he claimed that Russia’s borders “do not end anywhere,” and began the war against Ukraine by annexing Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In Putin’s delusion, the Z-marked tanks were supposed to take Kyiv — one of Europe’s oldest capitals (founded in 482, long before Moscow’s 1147) — in just three days… and then move on to impose the so-called “russkij mir” elsewhere.
But instead…
💥 On February 24, 2023, Russian tanks did reach European capitals — as burned-out trophies. This one is exhibited in Vilnius, Lithuania.
🛠️ Over 450 such tanks have been destroyed or captured by Ukrainian defenders in just the first year of full-scale war.
