Cardboard Nature: Volume 2 (Cutouts)
Bring an illustrated world to life with colorful cardboard nature cutouts. Build storybook forests, enchanted gardens, fantasy villages, playful platformer stages, and papercraft dioramas with trees, bushes, flowers, rocks, sky decorations, backdrops, and woodland animals.
This collection combines crayon style artwork with modeled cardboard thickness and corrugated cut edges. Flat cutouts provide layered stage scenery. Crossed variants give foliage depth from several viewing angles, "raised detail" variants add relief to selected designs.
The procedural cardboard material uses world-space shading and World Position Offset (WPO) for adjustable surface displacement. Controls cover cardboard colors, corrugation, crumpling, damage, dirt, roughness, and displacement strength.
Breakdown:
120 static meshes: 73 flat cutouts, 35 crossed variants, 12 raised-detail variants.
73 (illustration) textures: each 1024 x 1024 pixels, RGBA with alpha.
4 master materials: M_CB_Trip_World, M_CB_Trip_Physics, M_CB_UV, and M_CB_Cutout_Print.
74 material instances: 73 print instances and 1 shared "cardboard" instance.
3 display materials: 81 material assets in total including instances.
96 foliage presets: for trees, bushes, rocks, plants, and flowers.
1 map: a labeled showcase containing all 120 meshes.
UV0 for surface/artwork mapping, and UV1 for lightmaps.
Per-triangle collision on every mesh: "Use Complex Collision As Simple", so gameplay collision follows the cutout geometry.
Engine Support:
Native project variants for Unreal Engine 5.0 through 5.8.
Nanite enabled by default in UE 5.1-5.8, with area preservation and conventional fallback geometry.
Nanite disabled in UE 5.0 to retain the WPO material behavior.
Content-only project. No required third-party plugins or runtime scripts.
Additional info: The animals and sky decorations are static props. WPO is procedural cardboard surface displacement; this pack does not include a foliage wind animation system or skeletal animation. The animals are not of the best quality, they serve as an entry to my next pack, which will focus on cardboard cutout animals.
