Immerse your Unreal Engine project in the lush beauty of a serene marshland forest with this high-quality asset pack. Featuring a diverse collection of meticulously crafted trees, grasses, and vegetation, this pack brings the vibrant essence of a sunlit wetland to life.

This pack should contain everything you need to make a highly detailed nature environment set. The pack contains a wide range of PCG content scattered throughout to deliver a realistic depiction of a natural environment.

All foliage is scanned, modeled and hand built for an authentic and believable look. Foliage is using Pivot Painter 2 to give a more natural and believable wind animation. The landscape shader is well optimized using 5 unique materials to paint on the terrain plus a additional layer for removing foliage.

The landscape version in the 1009 squared meter level and relies on height blended terrain materials, various noise overlay colours, a global colour map, foliage switches to turn on/off, individual parameters for each layer, custom distance tiling textures for similar landscape layers. It also has enabled nanite displacement for that extra super high quality terrain deformation making the scene feel next gen.

A high quality water shader has been built with multiple levels of materials that are accessible via a tiling mask and Vertex Paint. You can paint a swamp algae and tree leaves on top of the water to give great depth to the surface. Scattered foliage with the power of PCG, Niagara particles simulating falling leaves , photogrammetry trees and Lumen make the scene feel truly next gen.

The foliage assets are relying on nanite for unique silhouette detail so keep in mind the number of instances as this can affect performance. The procedural content has been set using custom end cull values to stop rendering & limit the performance cost. Change these values to what you feel looks right.

The major trees and various foliage feature 4 levels of Pivot Painter 2 wind. Having all 4 enabled will provide the most visual quality but the highest performance cost.

Note 1: The project does have enabled Extend default luminance range in Auto Exposure in the project settings, however lighting values have been kept low to ensure you can still preview the scene outside of any cinematic cameras.

Note 2: This product supports Lumen for Unreal Engine 5.0+. When Lumen is enabled for a project, precomputed static lighting contributions are disabled and all lightmaps are hidden.

Note 3: This product supports Nanite for Unreal Engine 5.0+. Do note that Nanite has not been enabled on the water plane mesh as it breaks the vertex paint.

Note 4: Geometry Scripting & PCG Geometry Script Interop plugins are enabled to preview PCG scatter working

Note 5: All Pivot Painter textures are generated at non power of 2 to function properly

Note 5: This pack features Virtual Texture to improve the over all performance and memory overhead.Note 5: Naturally given the type of pack featuring real-time lighting its HIGHLY ADVISED to ALWAYS use a Movable directional sunlight and not bake any shadows. If you do choose to bake lighting you should be using the Volumetric Lightmaps. Performance Numbers using AMD 3900X, GTX 3080, 64GB RAM:

  • Demo Level - 43fps, 23ms at 2019x1029 (Dynamic Lighting + Nanite + Lumen + VSM Shadows + All shader features - Cinematic Settings)
