It includes two main types of projectiles in the game: solid projectiles, such as basketballs; and fragile projectiles, such as Molotov Cocktails.

The fire and flame special effects of Molotov Cocktails include two Niagara effects, namely 2D and 3D fluid simulations. It is necessary to enable related plugins like Niagara and NiagaraFluids in the plugin settings and turn on Generate Mesh Distance Fields in the project settings.

 

The main functions are as follows:

①   When holding an object, you can correct its holding position by clicking the left mouse button multiple times.

②   It can display the parabolic trajectory as well as the expected point of impact. The throwing distance can be adjusted in real-time, and the color of the parabolic trajectory and the damage range of the Molotov Cocktail are customizable.

③   The impact and rolling actions produce distinct sound effects. Various impact forces are accompanied by different sound effects. The intensity of the rolling sound effects is correlated with speed. A low impact force will not cause the Molotov Cocktail to break. Similarly, even without being thrown, high-intensity impacts from other sources can still shatter the Molotov Cocktail. The threshold can be customized for debugging purposes.

④   Dripping flames will briefly leave black marks on the surfaces of objects. The flames after the explosion exhibit a diffusion effect and adhere to the surface of the nearest object. Besides the conventional 2D flame effects, it also supports 3D mode Niagara fluid simulation for flames.

⑤ The effect of liquid shaking with movement is added to the Molotov Cocktail. It includes two materials: the non-translucent material with low performance consumption, and the translucent material for simulating colored glass and opaque liquid in the bottle.

⑥ When the Molotov Cocktail explodes, the skeletal meshes of AI characters within the damage radius will also have flames attached, and the Nav Mesh Bounds Volume will be changed to prevent other AI characters from moving, making them walk around the flame radius.

⑦ Movable objects within the damage radius, including objects simulating physics, with BP_FlameAttach_physics as the parent class, can also have flames attached.
