Looking to infuse your games with a unique, organic, and dynamically spawning threat? Dive into the "Worm Series" asset! From the Epic skeleton-compatible Wormman to dynamic mortar creatures and controllable single worm spawn capabilities, this asset pack injects unparalleled biological horror and strategic depth into your projects.

Asset Features:

  • 6 Varied Skeletal Meshes (SKM): Includes the Wormman (main character), 4 distinct Mortar creature types, and 1 single worm SKM..

  • Versatile Rigging: Wormman and Mortar meshes are rigged to the Epic skeleton, ensuring seamless integration with your existing animation libraries. The single worm has its own skeleton and 3 unique animations.

  • Advanced Blueprints (BPs): A main character BP complete with setup and pre-game variables for easy customization and A dedicated BP for the single worm, featuring AI follow mechanics. also A BP for dynamic pivots, ideal for advanced material effects.

  • Dynamic Worm Spawning System: The WormMan can spawn single worms while running or falling. These spawned worms intelligently attempt to return to the WormMan (utilizing AI navigation). They will destroy themselves by going underground if their lifetime expires or they move beyond a reachable distance. Spawn events can also be creatively used for "Get Hit" and other in-game interactions.

  • "Ultimate" Material: A groundbreaking material with rich, worm-related settings. Also material is material is incredibly lightweight and highly optimized. Despite offering a plethora of settings like Noise movements, scaling, bulge waves, thickness, pulse, SSS (Subsurface Scattering), Gradient, hue, and more, it remains "green" in the shader complexity view, guaranteeing maximum performance!

    Simple Game Menu: A basic in-game menu is included for quick testing and integration.

  • Additional Head Bones: Five extra bones (Head_Worm_Joint_0 to Head_Worm_Joint_04) are added to the head. These are designed for dynamic head movements that can be enabled and configured directly within the character Blueprint's pre-game settings.

Important to know: 

- All previews are rendered in Unreal Engine 5.3 and screenshots were taken in 4.26. preview video done in UE4.26

- Physics are different in UE5 because of a physics engine change. PhysX and Chaos Physics Systems  physics also changed in 5.1 and every newer version will be receiving their own bug fixes or changes.
